Early access Accounts enable users to buy, sell, and hold any asset across any chain type, with streamlined management of balances across chains.

Why use accounts?

Accounts can be configured to include wallets of multiple chain types (EVM, SVM, Spark, etc.) to access assets across these chain types. As a result, accounts bypass inherent restrictions when operating with wallets alone:
  • No single wallet can hold both ETH and SOL
  • Custodial wallets typically cannot hold non-stable assets
  • No single wallet can hold both custodial and non-custodial funds
By aggregating multiple wallet types, a single account can simultaneously hold ETH, SOL, BTC, HYPE, USDC, and any other token on any chain that accounts support. Funds can be orchestrated between the constituent wallets of the account to present the account as a single, chain-abstracted unit of balance to the end customer. A common setup is to configure the account to:
  • Hold balances at rest as a stablecoin in a wallet of one chain type
  • Execute just-in-time transfers via bridges to wallets of other chain types to access exposure to assets on those chains
Accounts can also hold wrapper tokens, like wBTC, to get cross-chain exposure to assets like EVM. Get started with trading with accounts below:
